Maxxis Velocita Tire 2022 | Tires

The Velocita is a smooth, high volume slick tire for mixed surfaces.
Based on the Velocita tube tire for the racing bike, Maxxis has taken the well-known profile design for the Velocita AR (All-Road) and widened it. The diamond profile in the middle of the tire merges into a sipe profile at the edges, which brings safety and stability when cornering. Riders looking for a light, fast-rolling, high-volume slick tire for gravel or a do-it-all bike should buy the Velocita AR.

Tubeless Ready (TR)
tube tubeless tires have many advantages: You can drive with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube , the risk of a breakdown also decreases. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for assembly with sealing milk than other tubeless ready tires. The bead of the TR tire is completely covered with a rubber layer tube As a result, the tube free assembly is successful for all rims with standard dimensions already with the first inflation and with little liquid. Normal MAXXIS MTB tires, like tires from other manufacturers, can also be fitted with tubeless sealant, as the carcass fabric is very dense. Only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless assembly and guaranteed by MAXXIS. The tubeless assembly of other models is at your own risk.

Note: We strictly advise against the use of ammonia-containing sealing milk. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and, depending on the amount used, can weaken it by up to 30% after just a few months.

EXO protection
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, light and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tires remains convincingly good.

DualCompound
Two different rubber compounds are processed into a tread strip. We plan the arrangement of the compounds according to the desired properties of the tires.
